PIPD - Pakistan Institute of Professional Development was the project of Lucky Plastic. The human resource (HR) department plays a vital role in the hiring, payroll, and training processes within an organization. When it comes to hiring, HR is responsible for attracting, screening, and selecting the most suitable candidates for open positions. This involves creating job descriptions, posting job advertisements, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and performing background checks. HR professionals collaborate with hiring managers to ensure that the recruitment process aligns with the company's goals and values.
Once candidates are selected and job offers are extended, HR takes charge of the onboarding process, ensuring that new employees have a smooth transition into the organization. This includes completing necessary paperwork, providing orientation sessions, and facilitating introductions to colleagues and company policies.
HR also oversees the payroll process, which involves managing employees' compensation and benefits. They maintain accurate records of employees' working hours, deductions, and allowances, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. HR professionals work closely with finance and accounting teams to process payroll, calculate taxes, and distribute salaries on time. They address any payroll-related issues or discrepancies that may arise and ensure confidentiality and data security throughout the process.
Furthermore, HR is responsible for providing training and development opportunities to enhance employees' skills and knowledge. They identify training needs, design and deliver training programs, or collaborate with external trainers or institutions. HR monitors the effectiveness of training initiatives, tracks employee progress, and provides ongoing support for professional growth. Additionally, they administer performance evaluations, facilitate feedback sessions, and implement performance improvement plans when necessary.
