FBR Jobs

The Central Board of Revenue Act, 1924, which was passed on April 1 of that year, established the Central Board of Revenue (CBR). Under the Ministry of Finance, a full-fledged revenue division was established in 1944. This setup persisted after the country attained independence until the Administrative Reorganization Committee recommended that FBR become an affiliated department of the Ministry of Finance on August 31, 1960. Additional adjustments were made in 1974 to improve the organisation and its operations. As a result, the Secretary of Finance was divested of his duties as ex-officio Chairman of the FBR, and the position of Chairman of the FBR was formed with the status of ex-officio Additional Secretary. 1998.

With the enactment of the FBR Act 2007 in July 2007, the Central Board of Revenue has now become the Federal Board of Revenue. On October 22, 1991, the status of FBR as a revenue division under the Ministry of Finance was restored in order to remove obstacles to the exercise of the administrative functions of the Secretary to the Government and the proper design and execution of fiscal policy measures. The Revenue Division was disbanded in January 1995, nevertheless, and FBR returned to its pre-1991 state. Since December 1, 1998, the Revenue Division has continued to exist. Federal Board of Revenue
